Well, it is December 21, I haven’t made an entry in nearly a month. No particular reason, not too much to say.

We (the family) have decided not to do any gift exchange this year. This is a good thing. I HATE shopping. Well, actually I enjoy shopping when I know what I am getting but buying for other people is a pain. I also hate wrapping stuff up. It’ll be nice just having dinner this year with the family. My two cousins are in Toronto this year and they are heading this way.

I have decided that I am not going to apply for any of the NDBA club teams for the 2011 season. I thought about it for the last few months, ever since baseball ended I guess and my mind hasn’t changed. At this point, I doubt that I will coach at all next summer, I can’t see myself coaching a house league team and I doubt that SCMBA will have any other all star clubs in 2011, I could be wrong there though.

I haven’t decided yet if I will do any umpiring or not but I think that I will, maybe a few games a week at most. I don’t want to get into a game every night like some umpires do, that’s a bit insane – I already have a job.

I do want to try to get into shape next summer, a shape other than round … lol

I think that I will try to ride my new bike a lot more than I did this past summer, that will be pretty easy though.

I watched, for the first time tonight, Corner Gas. I think that it also happened to be the very first episode as well. I liked it, I am not sure where I was while it was on its first run but I think that I will try to catch up on it.

Well, enjoy the holidays if you have time off work or whatever or don’t – doesn’t matter to me. 🙂

PS: Maybe I will try to BLOG weekly. Or monthly. I think that I will go back and read the last years worth.

Hmmm … What to blog about, I really don’t know. Nothing much is going on, I am keeping a low profile.

This is a short week at work, 3 days to go as I am off on Friday. That is a good thing.

I am working OT on Thursday night, hopefully won’t go too late.

I wonder what the difference in my life is that I haven’t had much to say of late. Hmmm, who knows. Better yet, does anyone really care? Likely not.

The NDBA AGM went pretty well. It was held at Dom’s Downtown. Good food for sure. No surprises, I wasn’t nominated for any positions so that is good. I wasn’t interested in running so I didn’t have to decline.

It was decided that in 2011 from Minor Bantam on up there would only be District “club” teams. This is likely a good decision I think. From what I had play for me last year, I don’t think that we would have been able to put a team together in St. Catharines. If NDBA runs two Minor Bantam clubs, I think that they will both be more competative.

At this point in time, I don’t think that I am going to apply for a team. I don’t think that I am going to change my mind either, I’ve really thought about it. Of course, I have changed my mind before.

Well, the weekend is here. I don’t plan on doing too much – sounds like a good idea to me. Went out for a coffee tonight with RK, haven’t seen him in 2.5 months or so.

Not a hell of a lot to report.  Wow, I lead a fairly boring life I guess eh.

It is Wednesday, hump day.  Yay, the week is more than 1/2 over.

I am going to the NDBA AGM dinner tomorrow evening.  I will NOT be running for any positions.  No chance there.  I am not really into SCMBA right at the moment – hopefully I will be by the New Year which is coming up pretty soon actually.

I doubt that anyone will nominate me for anything tomorrow anyway, guess we will see.  The dinner is at Dom’s Downtown – they always have good food so that’ll be great.  I think that I will walk and have a few bevies as well.  Hopefully it won’t be raining.

Anyway, guess I will report on the happenings tomorrow evening.

Not a bad weekend I guess.  Only one complaint.  It was too short.  I think that I (and likely most people) complain that the weekends aren’t long enough.

Joan had an open house for her new store today, pretty good turnout which was good.  Hopefully she will do well with it.

Not too much else went on this weekend, it was relaxing.

If only I had a few more days off …

The weekend is here, thank goodness.  This was a rather long week.  I am not sure who’s running the asylum but they are getting worse.  It’s too bad I can’t win the lottery.  Yeah, that would be nice.

No real plans this weekend.  I like it that way.  Nothing else to report either so there.

I was getting tired of some of the “oddness” of using Ubuntu on my laptop so I have reinstalled Windows 7.  I have been using Windows 7 at work for ages so there isn’t much of a change at home now.  Great OS, Microsoft really did a good job on this one I must admit.

I am using Windows Live Writer to make this entry.  It is part of Windows Live Essentials and the entire package isn’t bad at all.  Another good one on Microsoft’s part I guess.

Since I am speaking so highly of Microsoft, I must also say something good about Security Essentials.  It is an excellent anti-virus program and best of all, it is FREE.  I’d recommend it over any of the “commercial” programs that are out there that want $50 a year or whatever.

Union meeting to attend to this evening.  I think.  The meeting starts @ 7pm and I plan on going unless something better comes up.  Here’s to hoping that something better comes up – those meetings can be rather BORING.

Happy Hump Day. Well, Hump Day or as some call it, Wednesday, is almost over. Only two more days until the weekend now. Why does it seem that I am always waiting for the weekend? Well, it is likely because I am. lol

Not too much has gone on thus far this week. Work is typically boring. I think that I am getting stale at work. Does that make sense? I am not really enjoying it. Not hating it though either, so at least there is that.

Not really sure what I would want to do if I didn’t work at the Region. I guess I will have to see what comes. Perhaps I will win the lottery and then I can take some time off. Sounds good to me.

Nothing else much planned for the rest of the week either. How’s that for a boring life?

Not a bad weekend I guess. Although it was 3 days long for me it wasn’t long enough. Typical.

Brakes have been replaced on the Jeep. It cost me a bit over $600. What can ya do, can’t really drive without brakes.

Teeth cleaned. The dentist “claimed” that one of my fillings was loose and it needed to be replaced. Hmmm … Do I believe you or do you need some extra income? Well, I choose NOT to have the filling replaced. So there.

Got a haircut.

Went out for lunch. Where else, The Mandarin.

Had a nap. Long nap.

That was Friday. Not a bad day off really. Saturday and Sunday were less busy. I went to the Welland Humane Society fund raising dinner on Saturday evening. Good meal out in the middle of nowhere (Port Robinson). Went out for breakfast on Sunday.

That pretty well wraps it up. Not too exciting.

Back to work today, average, slow-ish day. Another 4 days and then the weekend returns. 🙂

I am off tomorrow, ADO. The first one in a while it seems. My last one was cancelled. It seems like we have some rules for some, other rules for others and no rules for one. Oh well.

Getting the brakes done on the Jeep tomorrow, going to the dentist (cleaning) and getting a haircut. Not sure what else at the moment but I might be getting a new phone. I have been looking at the Motorola Milestone. It runs Android. It would mean parting ways with the Blackberry – not sure if I want to leave the Blackberry world or not.

Nothing else planned for the weekend I don’t think – guess I will have to wait and see what comes up.
