Play Ball !!!

Back to umpiring this week. I have expanded the league’s that I’ve made myself available to.

I’ll be umpiring for Babe Ruth Calgary, Calgary North Baseball League, High River Baseball and Baseball Alberta.

This far, I’ve got about 15 games scheduled and many, many more to come. I start Wednesday evening, umpiring an exhibition game between the 18u Calgary Blues and the University of Calgary Dino’s. I’m on the plate to start the season. I’m really looking forward to it.

I am not familiar with my partner, the name doesn’t ring any bells but that doesn’t mean much. I am better with faces. I’m hoping for an injury drew season of umpiring, it would be nice if I would be able to cut down on the number of times I’m even hit with the baseball…

It’s supposed to be cloudy and cool tonight, the game starts at 645pm. 10C at game time and possible showers so we’ll see. Yesterday the high was 25C, what a difference a day makes eh.
