Today wasn’t the best of days…

Today wasn’t the best of days to be sure…

It started out with me discovering the potential job I had “in the bag” at work didn’t exist. The guy who spoke to me about it wasted over an hour of my time. Ridiculous.

The left hand also doesn’t speak with the right hand. The guy in charge of “the bench” knew nothing about this and started our weekly group meeting telling me he was optimistic that I’d get it. Yeah, right.

After work, I decided to return the modem and TV box to Rogers. It used to be Shaw. It used to be good. Rogers apparently ruins EVERYTHING it touches and they’ve ruined Shaw.

I got the email with the return label and headed to Purolator. I brought the dogs along as they absolutely love going for car rides. I parked and as I turned the engine off, bang, someone hit my car.

I jumped out of the car, already annoyed by the day, the driver tried to pull away.

I waved my arms and yelled. They stopped and opened their door. I pictured a big, burly bike dude coming out and beating the shit out of me. The exact opposite…

I got to the door and yelled “where the hell did you learn to drive?”. Well, she was probably 85 years old and looked near to tears. I instantly felt bad. I guess my journey to the Dark Side of the Force isn’t complete. I walked away, sheepishly and she slowly drove off. There was no damage to either car.

I went into Purolator and the gent behind the counter was nice enough to tape my box closed. One issue. My return label was for FedEx. Sigh.

So, off I go to FedEx. It wasn’t an actual FedEx drop off, it was a third party one. Two workers, two customers who were slower than molasses. I waited 20 minutes, being as patient as I possibly could. You KNOW how patient I am. LOL

Package off. Good riddance.

Off to the dog park. Fairly uneventful. Twix had fun and Apollo ran all over the park and swam a bit with his new canine friends. Off to home.

Dinner for both the dogs and I.

Off to Costco for gas. Nope. The lineup was absolutely insane. Upon leaving, I saw that the Shell station was selling at the same price as Costco plus I get a 3¢ per liter discount through AMA. Great.

I had to wait with one woman in front of me. AFTER she filled her tank, she THEN decided to clean her windows. I opened my window and asked “you’re cleaning your windows NOW?”. She said don’t test me, it’s been a long day. We exchanged pleasantries and I filled up.

Off to home, again. Stopped at No Frills for milk. No issues.

Parker, got back to the apartment and put the milk away.

Now I’m watching some TV and mildly ranting on my blog. Have a good night.
