Winter has arrived…

Calgary had snow on the Thanksgiving weekend, but seeing as I was cruising across the Pacific Ocean, it didn’t count for me.

My week back in Calgary started out nice, temperatures in the upper teens, it was 18°C in Thursday and on Friday morning, it was around freezing and we got a few inches of snow.

Most of the snow had melted by the afternoon as it cleared up and the sun came out, but it remained cold, well, cool I suppose.

The winter jackets have come out, the toques have come out as well, I can’t find my one pair of gloves that I always wear, so I may need to buy a new pair.

Apollo is not a fan of the cold, Achilles doesn’t seem to mind it at all. They are still wrestling and having fun in the remaining snow in the dog park. We are supposed to get more today and tomorrow.

I have turned the AC off in the apartment, but the bedroom window is open the full 3 inches it opens and the apartment is staying at a very comfortable 20°C – too hot for my tastes but I’ll survive.

I guess winter is here. The two week forecast shows nothing warmer than about 5°C. Time for heated seats and steering wheel in the SUV. Fall seemed too short, but I suppose I was away for almost 3 weeks of it.

When’s Spring?
