The flight from Calgary to Vancouver was great. I was able to doze off for most of the flight, so it seemed to me that it was about 15 minutes long. Not bad at all.
The flight from Vancouver to Los Angeles was but as good.
There were two children behind me who’s parents obviously believe in the gentle parenting model. They model sucks dripping whale cock and you’ve produced children who are basically terrorists. It made that flight miserable, for me and likely any other conscious adults in the immediate area. I digress…
I don’t like flying. I don’t like being trapped in a long steel tube with nowhere to go. I really hate when we land and have to wait for the doors to open so we can escape. I really don’t.
I think I’ve decided that when I fly from Los Angeles back to Calgary that it’ll be my last flight ever. I don’t think I need to go anywhere that will require flying. If I decide to return to Ontario for some reason (doubtful), I’ll drive. I can’t imagine needing to go anywhere else that I can’t drive to.
I think I’m going to stick to what I enjoy which is road trips and the best thing about road trips is that I can bring my dogs with me. Yeah, that sounds great.
So, I head back to Canada in about 10 days and that’ll be my last flight. I won’t miss the unruly children and their idiot parents.
