After counting down the days for a few weeks on Facebook, sailing day is tomorrow, finally…

It’s just after 1am and I hear down to Crowsnest Pass at 7 to pick up my traveling companion. I’ll take the dogs of course. It’s about 2.5 hours to get there. I’ll pick up my sister in law on the way home. I should be back by shortly after noon.

We’ll have a relaxing afternoon. I’m making Texas Twinkies for dinner. That’s a cream cheese stuffed jalapeno pepper, inside a chicken breast all wrapped in thick cut bacon, BBQd to perfection. I’ll serve it with roasted potatoes and some sort of vegetables. Nothing planned for dessert at the moment, but I think I’ll make a chocolate and cherry dump cake in the Crock-Pot.

We leave for the airport at 415am tomorrow or so, fly Calgary to Vancouver then onto Los Angeles. We’ll get picked up in LA and driven to the dock via executive car service. We board at 130pm.

To say I’m looking forward to the trip is an understatement. I cannot wait, good thing it’s only 36 hours away or so. Bon voyage…
