I have not slept more than about 1:10 since Thursday morning at 2:10am when I woke up from 4 or 5 hours sleep.

Oh Wednesday evening, I went to bed between 930 and 10 pm and was awake, up and showered by about 230am.

Thursday I was supposed to take delivery of my new vehicle, I think, but my funds didn’t arrive, so I had to push it off until Tuesday, August 25. I’ll pick it up at Noon on that day.

I started to get ready to travel. I had cleaning to do, I had laundry to do, I had packing and organizing to do.

Friday morning came around and I had made relatively good progress and I headed to High River Alberta to pick up my sister in law who was charged with looking after Apollo.

We got to my place, let Apollo out at the dog park and he did his thing, pooping and peeing. I prepped a massive tomahawk steak with salt and pepper and put it on the smoker for dinner.

About 3 hours later, the last picture was the result. A perfect medium, I think and by God it was tasty.

Roasted potatoes rounded out the meal and I attempted to plate it well. It was beyond good but, despite it’s amazing flavour, we weren’t sure it was worth the price tag of $102.

Edie had 10ish ounces, I probably had 16-20 ounces and Apollo had at least 10 ounces. Apollo was the happiest of the bunch, that I guarantee.

Dessert was a strawberry cheesecake from Costco that we are hours later after dinner. Apollo had a small piece of cheesecake as it’s not really good for him, or is.

Edie helped me sort and fold laundry, I printed bag tags, loaded my suitcase and was ready to leave at 3am hitting the airport by 330am.

I’m unsure why I had to get to the airport so early, security didn’t open until 430am so that was ridiculous. Security was quick, the came US Customs and they didn’t open until 5. Or was it security at 4 and customs at 430, YES, that’s what it was.

Customs was slow but I made it through and had no wait to board the first of 3 plans. We headed southish to Denver, then southeast to Houston and finally across the Gulf of Mexico to Florida and my final stop for the day.

It’s 430pm Eastern Time (I believe) as it write this and the plane lands in about 1.5 hours. Again, time zones are messing with me and my absolute lack of sleep.

I check into the hotel, I’ll have a bite somewhere and then a shower or the other way around and then, then I’ll crash.

I’ll likely be up early and I’ll make the hour long trip to the East coast of Florida to Port Canaveral and then I’ll get on the ship.
