I have a few trips coming up and a few people are visiting Calgary as well.
Next week, my friend T comes to visit from Ontario for 5 days. It will be a good visit, I am sure. We are doing to touristy things in and around Calgary, probably a day trip to Banff as well.
In late May, my friend from California, JB, is visiting, also for 5 days. We will do the same, although JB has never been to Alberta, so it may be more extensive.
I have no travel plans or visitors in June, as of right now. In July, friends from Idaho are visiting during the Calgary Stampede. They have also never been to Calgary, so we will do the touristy stuff as well.
In lateish August, I will be going on a road trip to Ontario. I will be heading Calgary to Denver and will catch a Colorado Rockies baseball game. I will then head to the Nashville area to see two friends and take in the sights and sounds of Nashville. From there, I will head to Niagara via the Detroit area and will have lunch or dinner with a friend and former colleague.
I will visit friends in Niagara, friends and family in the GTA and friends in Ottawa before heading back West to Calgary. I am expecting to be away for 14-17 days, depending on how much driving I do each day on the road. I will stop when I am tired and get a motel room along the way, nothing planned in concrete, that’s for sure.
I have tentative dog care for Twix and Apollo while I am gone, in my house so they won’t be stressed at all, they may just miss their Dad.
It should be a great trip and I will be making it in my new Ford Bronco, I will probably put at least 10,000km on it during the trip. I will knock off a few states that I have not visited as yet, so that will be cool.
I may go on an Alaskan cruise in September – unsure as yet. In early October I am heading to Idaho for 5 days.
I have a couple of other ideas that I may or may not do, nothing set as yet. Should be a good few months.
