I am slowly, but surely getting my new place organized. The slow areas are the office and unpacking and organizing my clothes. Everything else is setup and ready to go. I have been here for 2 weeks now, so, I am definitely making use of my three Doctorates in Procrastination.
I hope to have the office completely setup in short order. I have a TV stand for my office TV and that is first on the list of things to do. I have to organize all of the extra junk that I, for some reason, keep in my office as well. My work computer is setup and ready to go, I am using that computer to write this entry (normally, I write entries via my Android phone).
I am back to work Monday. I will be working Monday through Friday, 6am – 2pm. It will be a change from the 12 hour shifts I have been working for the last year and a half. No no 3 and 4 day weekends, back to a Saturday and Sunday off. Being done at 2pm will be nice though, it will give me time in the afternoons to go to the dog park with the dogs and nap perhaps. Both good things.
I will be doing training at work since I am now on what’s called “the bench”. I don’t have a current project, so I am looking for new work, both internally at IBM and also will be looking externally as well. I will remain on the bench until July or August I would guess. At that time, I will decide if I am going to retire – it’s tempting, but, I am afraid I will be bored in the winter with little to do. So, I will find something, I am sure.
Time will tell what I will be doing and what path I will follow. I know I will enjoy it, regardless. The possibilities are endless. Wish me some luck.
